“A Dream Come True” for Sponsorship Coordinator, Brian Palmer

The team ended their trip visiting Orphans Faith Home, one of our partner agencies in Andhra Pradesh, where 165 children live and are educated. When the team arrived, a wave of children greeted them with laughter and joy.

“Their faces just light up,” said Brian Palmer, India Partners Sponsorship Coordinator. “The moment you say hello to them, when you shake their hands, they are a very happy group of kids.”

Brian has been serving India Partners as the Sponsorship Coordinator for over five years. This was his first trip to India to meet the kids for whom he is eagerly searching for sponsors.

"You see the reports and you hear the updates, but it's all just words on a page until you can actually see them,” said Brian. “For me it's been fascinating and literally a dream come true.”

Currently, there are 362 children in the sponsorship program, which encompasses children from four different project sites. 117 are currently in need of sponsors.

Sponsoring a child can make a life-long impact, as many of the children would be digging in the trash or facing death by starvation on their own. Living at Orphans Faith Home gives a child a second chance at life, as he or she is given food, education, shelter and a family environment, which includes the sponsor too!

As a sponsor, your funds allow a child to live at Orphans Faith Home, to receive love and have their practical needs met. Sponsorship also establishes a relationship that deeply encourages a child. Receiving a letter from a sponsor can brighten a child’s day and give him or her hope that an individual, a classroom, a church or a family across the world loves them.
